Jamie Bennett, artista que nació en 1948 en EE.UU., profesor emérito de la NYU en New Paltz donde
dio cátedra desde 1985 hasta el 2014 cuando se retiró. Ha experimentado a lo largo de su carrera
con procesos antiguos de esmaltado, descubriendo nuevas técnicas, creando nuevos colores y superficies
mates. Se hace referencia a él como “el artista del esmalte más completo e innovador de nuestros
tiempos” según la excuradora e historiadora Ursula Ilse-Neuman del Museo de Arte y Diseño de
Nueva York. Ha recibido numerosos premios y honores, incluyendo tres National Endowment for the
Arts Individual Fellowships, tres New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowships forma parte del Fellow
of the American Crafts Council. En los años 2007-2010 hubo una exhibición itinerante de su trabajo
en retrospectiva en museos alrededor de EE.UU.. Su trabajo ha sido conocido por el uso innovador del
